I hope you are all enjoying the beginning of a lovely weekend.
As much as I love spending most weekends up the Sunshine coast at the house, I do appreciate the quiet Saturday mornings I have back here in Brissy bayside, with both teenagers staying out at friends, I enjoy a little bit of solitude to do my own thing.
It's been a roller coaster few weeks here with all the running around I've done getting my boy to the finish line. Tertiary applications are in, graduation is over and the formal has been had, just a few preparations for 'schoolies week' and I'm done!!
This morning I rose early to finish off my tiny table I've been working on. You know the one, I snatched it off a lovely old mans pile a few weeks ago during the kerbside collection.
While the famous chalk paint was drying, I walked down to the monthly farmers market on the waterfront. Brissy certainly has put on a stinking hot muggy overcast still day, a couple of rain drops fell to refresh the masses of people weaving in and out of fresh produce stalls.
After grabbing a take away coffee, I couldn't resist these yummy pastries to take home.
Almond filled croissant and sour cherry danish...yum!
Anyhoo, as I type this post, the sun is shining, the power is back on and the day resumes!
Bla bla...let me now show you my little project I have been working on.

It has a broken leg... poor old thing, so a bit of wood glue and hopefully she'll hold.
Then a light sand, ready for the primer.
Time to apply the chalk paint still left over from my desk project. 'Limed White', I love this colour.
Back from my morning at the farmers market, paint is dry and ready to sand and distress followed by a Beeswax finish.
What a morning....what a week...time for a cup of tea!
Have a lovely weekend everyone, I guess my next thoughts now will be christmas related. It seems all you blogging friends out there have already started... I better get cracking!

Ta Tania, I'm pretty happy with it...and the cushions are easy to make...no fraying with felt just a bit of fabric glue and zigzag stitch.( oh and a bit of interfacing)
